The activity that is shown here is a cross curricular activity where a social problem is worked in English. The students have to explain a friend why he shouldn't build a new hotel in Majorca because there are too many in the island. Through different images, students have to explain why it is not a good idea to do it and also they should develope a critical thinking about the problem and how people have to protect natural environments.
First the teacher explains the problem and the situation. In groups, the students have to explain a friend the reasons why he doesn't have to build a new hotel. And this is the result.:
